In 2025, the Southeast Asian country drew about 6.8% of all outbound Indian travellers. Indian tourists can stay in Thailand visa-free for up to 60 days.
Bhutan
Indian passport holders can travel to Bhutan visa-free. However, travelers must obtain an entry permit and pay a sustainable development fee (SDF) of ₹1,200 per person per night.
Nepal
Under the 1950 Indo-Nepal Treaty of Peace, Indians can travel to and stay in Nepal without having to go through the arduous visa process.
Malaysia
Indian nationals can visit Malaysia visa-free for up to 30 days. The Malaysian government has extended the visa waiver for Indians until December 31, 2026.
Philippines
Indian passport holders can travel to the archipelago country for a non-extendible period of 14 days for tourism purposes.
Belarus
Indian nationals can travel to this Eastern European country visa-free for 30 days. However, visitors can enter and exit Belarus only through Minsk National Airport.
Visa on arrival (VoA)
It's a type of travel permit that allows visitors to obtain their visa upon landing at the destination country's airport, rather than applying at an embassy before traveling.
Some of the countries providing VoA facilities to Indian passport holders include Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Egypt, Laos, Madagascar, Saudi Arabia, and more.
