Apple iPhone 16 series: Key features

Apple launched its iPhone 16 series; Apple Watch Series 10; and AirPods 4 at the "It's Glowtime" event on Monday, September 9.

Allowing Apple Intelligence, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models are powered by the A18 chip and the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone Pro Max models by the A18 Pro chip.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models have a bigger display, a vertical camera arrangement, a new Camera Control button and an upgraded 48-megapixel main camera.

The new Pro models sport a new 48MP Fusion camera with a quicker quad-pixel sensor that allows 4K120 fps (Frames per second) video recording in Dolby Vision.

The Apple Intelligence on the new lineup brings the power of Apple silicon and Apple-built generative models to understand and create language and images, and take action across apps.

The lineup includes features like systemwide Writing Tools, Genmoji, Dynamic Island, Always-On display, True Tone, HDR display, Emergency SOS Crash Detection, and so much more.

The entry-level iPhone 16 starts at ₹79,900, and iPhone 16 Plus at ₹89,900.

The iPhone 16 Pro model starts at ₹1,19,900 for the 128GB variant and the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at ₹1,44,900 for the 256GB model.

Apple also launched Apple Watch Series 10 and AirPods 4. The Apple Watch Series 10 has the largest display complemented by a thinner 9.7 mm body.

The new S10 SiP chip allows in Apple Watch Series 10 AI capabilities with sleep apnea detection. The pricing starts at ₹46,900.

The standard AirPods 4 model starts at ₹12,900 and an active noise cancellation-equipped version at ₹17,900.

Both AirPods 4 models come with improved audio quality and a redesigned case with USB-C.
