All you need to know about Chandrayaan 4

The Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi has approved the Chandrayaan 4 mission.

The mission aims to develop and demonstrate the technologies to bring the spacecraft back to Earth after successfully landing on the Moon.

The mission also aims to collect lunar samples and analyse them on Earth.

This Chandrayaan 4 mission will lay the foundation for an Indian landing on the moon and returning safely back to Earth (planned by the year 2040).

The mission is expected to be completed in the next 36 months, with participation from the industry and academia.

The total funds required for the mission are ₹2,104.06 crore. The mission aims to make India self-sufficient in critical technologies for manned space missions.
