Air Force’s display of power

The immaculate and breath-taking display of air power in Tamil Nadu on October 8 marked the 92nd anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

The ceremony started with a parade and was followed by a mesmerising air show and a static display.

Parade
The parade commenced with marching-in of the President's Colours.

It was followed by a performance by a band, and the Air Warrior Drill Team captivated everyone with their sharp and synchronised movements.

Airshow
Following the parade, various jets including the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft and more performed daring low-level aerobatic manoeuvres.

Heading 2

The Suryakiran Aerobatics Team and Sarang Helicopter Team mesmerised the crowd with thrilling performances as thety painted Chennai skies in the colours of the tiranga.

Static display
The static display featured state-of-the-art such as ALH Mk-4, C-295 Transport aircraft, Akash Missile Defence System, HTT-40, and Rohini radar. 

The event was a fitting tribute to IAF’s nearly a century of service to the country, embodying the theme of 'Bhartiya Vayu Sena: Saksham, Sashakt, Aatmanirbhar'.
