From the Tirupati Balaji Temple in the South to Siddhivinayak Temple in the West, Jagannath Puri Temple in the East, and Golden Temple in the North, here are India’s most visited temples.

1. Kashi Vishwanath Temple
Located in the ancient city of Varanasi, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, attracted around 73 million tourists in 2023, after its renovation in 2022.

2. Ayodhya Ram Mandir
The newly inaugurated Ram Mandir in the city of Ayodhya has been projected to attract as many as 50 million visitors each year, as per a report by Jefferies.

3. Tirupati Balaji Temple
Located in Andhra Pradesh, the Tirupati Balaji Temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara and attracts 30 to 40 million visitors each year.

4. Golden Temple
Located in Amritsar, the Harmandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple, attracts around 27 to 33 million visitors each year.

5. Siddhivinayak Temple
Located in Mumbai, the Siddhivinayak Temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha, attracts 18 to 22 million visitors per year.

6. Shirdi Sai Baba Temple
Located in Shirdi, the Sai Baba Temple attracts 15 to 20 million visitors annually.

7. Jagannath Puri Temple
Located in Odisha, the ancient Jagannath Puri Temple is one of the four Dhams of the Char Dham Yatra and attracts 7 to 10 million visitors each year.

8. Vaishno Devi Temple
Located 5,200 feet above sea level, the Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu and Kashmir attracts 7 to 10 million visitors annually.
