We often make resolutions that are too ambitious, too dull or too overwhelming. This year, let’s change that. Here are some unique resolutions for the new year.
Ordering from Zepto or other quick commerce apps every day takes a big toll on your finances. Every weekend, plan and shop offline to minimise online spending.
At least three days a week, to have an easier start, don’t touch your phone for the first hour after waking up. Take a walk, read and eat breakfast to start your day peacefully.
Every time you buy something on an impulse, transfer a fixed amount (eg, ₹5,000) to a specific savings account. Use this money towards something productive later.
Once a month, clean your gallery and email by eliminating the unnecessary clutter. Unsubscribe from unwanted newsletters and let go of digital hoarding habits.
Set quirky challenges for yourself. For instance, decide that you will walk to buy anything you need under ₹100. It’ll save money, fuel, and increase your daily step count.
Every day, write 5 things you’re grateful for in your diary. This is much easier than journaling, and can help you practice gratitude, reflect on your days and retain memorable moments.
To ensure a better attention span, especially in the current environment where we mainly consume 30-second videos, watch/read one piece of long-form media every week.
