Mumbai
Mumbai is India’s most expensive city due to limited land and high population density. It is ranked 136th globally, having risen 11 spots since 2023.
Delhi
The national capital is the second-most expensive city in India, ranking 165th globally, up four spots since 2023. Improved connectivity and infrastructure have driven up the cost of living.
Chennai
Ranked 189th globally, Chennai is the third most expensive city in India. The capital city of Tamil Nadu has been seeing an increase in its cost of living due to immigration.
Bengaluru
Bengaluru is India's fourth most expensive city and is ranked 195th globally. As the IT capital and an innovation hub, the city attracts many job seekers, raising its cost of living.
Hyderabad
Ranked 202nd globally, Hyderabad is the fifth most expensive city in India. There is no change in its global rank from 2023.
Pune
Pune is India’s sixth most expensive city, and ranked 205th globally. Having risen 8 places since 2023, the city has seen a sharp rise in its cost of living.
Kolkata
Kolkata is the seventh most expensive city in India. It ranks 207th in the globe, rising 4 places from 2023.
