NPS Vatsalya Scheme

The NPS Vatsalya Scheme is a unique retirement savings plan that enables parents to build a pension corpus for their minor children.

Once the child turns 18, the account is automatically converted into a regular National Pension System (NPS) account.

All children below the age of 18 are eligible to be beneficiaries under the NPS Vatsalya plan.

To start an account, parents must make a minimum initial deposit of ₹1,000. The account can be opened online via the official eNPS portal or offline by visiting participating bank branches.
