    Zydus Lifesciences on Friday said its consolidated net profit increased 31% year on year to ₹1,420 crore in the first quarter ended June 2024 on the back of robust sales.

    The drug maker had reported a net profit of ₹1,087 crore in the April-June quarter of last fiscal.

    Industrial wire maker Paramount Cables on Friday posted a 74% rise in its consolidated profit after tax to ₹25.3 crore during the June quarter, on account of higher revenues.

    It had reported ₹14.5 crore Profit After Tax (PAT) in the April-June period of the preceding 2023-24 fiscal, the company said in a statement.
