Benchmark indices closed higher on Monday, with NIFTY50 rising 0.35% and SENSEX gaining 145 points. In the NIFTY50 space, 34 stocks were advancing. ONGC, SBI Life and Shriram Finance were among the top gainers.

Bank of Maharashtra on Monday reported a 46.6% jump in its standalone net profit to ₹1,293.4 crore for the April-June quarter as against ₹883.08 crore in the year-ago period.

Hindalco Industries on Monday said it will sell a land parcel at Kalwa, in Maharashtra to Ekamaya Properties Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Birla Estates Pvt Ltd for ₹595 crore.

On July 12, 2023, the company had said that the Board of Directors had approved a proposal for sale of a land parcel situated at Kalwa, Maharashtra, to Birla Estates Private Ltd.

It is the single largest fully built bus order from the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) and these 'Viking' passenger buses will be manufactured at Ashok Leyland's exclusive bus body plants, the company said in a statement.
