Nykaa: FSN E-Commerce Ventures, which owns beauty and fashion platform Nykaa, posted a two-fold jump in consolidated net profit at ₹13.64 crore for the June quarter FY25. The company had posted a net profit of ₹5.42 crore for the same period a year ago.
Revenue from operations increased by about 23% to ₹1,746.11 crore from ₹1,421.82 crore. The fashion segment revenue grew by about 21% to ₹148.6 crore from ₹122.45 crore a year ago.
In separate news, Nykaa said it will acquire additional stakes in Dot & Key and Earth Rhythm for ₹309.8 crore.
Vedanta, Hindustan Zinc: Mining giant Vedanta said on Tuesday, August 13, that it would sell 11 crore shares, or its 2.6% holding of
Hindustan Zinc, via an offer for sale (OFS).
Hero MotoCorp: Hero MotoCorp on Tuesday posted a 47% increase in consolidated profit after tax at ₹1,032 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2024, aided by higher sales. The country's largest two-wheeler maker reported a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹701 crore for the April-June period a year ago. Revenue from operations rose to ₹10,211 crore from ₹8,851 crore, Hero MotoCorp said in a regulatory filing.
The company said it sold 15.35 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in the April-June period this fiscal, as compared with 13.53 lakh units in the first quarter of FY24.
Apollo Hospitals: Apollo Hospitals on Tuesday posted an 83% jump in its consolidated profit after tax to ₹305 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, aided by robust performance across business verticals. The healthcare firm reported a profit after tax of ₹167 crore in the June quarter of FY24. Its revenue rose to ₹5,086 crore for the first quarter against ₹4,418 crore in the April-June quarter of last fiscal.
SBI, YES Bank: According to a Reuters report, the State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest lender, is planning to sell a 24% stake worth ₹18,420 crore ($2.2 billion) currently in YES Bank.
Marksons Pharma: The company reported a 26.6% YoY rise in its net profit at ₹89.1 crore against ₹70.4 crore reported in the year-ago period. Revenue increased by 18.1% to ₹590.6 crore, while EBITDA, or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation, came in at ₹128.4 crore, up 26% YoY. Margins stood at 21.7%.
Muthoot Finance: As per news reports,
Muthoot Finance posted its highest-ever consolidated net profit of ₹1,196 crore during the first quarter of FY25, up 14% compared to ₹1,045 crore registered in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
On a standalone basis, Muthoot Finance’s net profit grew by 11% to ₹1,079 crore, whereas income surged by 23% to ₹3,710 crore. The company's standalone loan assets increased by ₹8,497 crore, registering a growth of 11%, while gold loan assets increased by ₹8,043 crore, up by 11%.
GNFC: The company's net profit, as per news reports, increased by 34.1% YoY to ₹118 crore from ₹88 crore logged in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Revenue rose 22.3% YoY to ₹2,021 crore.
HEG: The company's board has approved a 1:5 stock split, implying 1 share will be split into 5 new shares as of the record date. The company also announced a massive fall in its standalone net profit for the June quarter (Q1 FY25) at ₹2.58 crore as against ₹97.56 crore declared in the corresponding quarter of last year.
IRCTC: The company, in its regulatiory filing on Tuesday, August 13, said that the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) and the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) signed an MoU on 12th August, 2024 to enhance the travel experience for passengers of the RRTS and Indian Railways through the ‘One India – One Ticket’ initiative.
Meanwhile, the company released its June quarter numbers yesterday. It reported a 32.5% jump in its consolidated net profit to ₹307.7 crore for the June quarter of financial year 2024-25. In the year-ago period, the company had reported a net profit of ₹232.2 crore.
