Top 10 countries with most billionaires 

The 2024 Forbes list of billionaires highlights the global hotspots for the ultra-wealthy. 

These countries are not just economic powerhouses but also home to a significant concentration of the world’s wealthiest individuals.

United States
The US continues to dominate with the highest number of billionaires. The total number of billionaires has increased to 813 from 735 last year. 

China 
The largest economy in Asia has the second-highest number billionaires, with 406 billionaires having a total net worth of $1.3 trillion. 

India 
With the largest population in the world, India holds the third-highest number of billionaires. The country has 200 billionaires compared to 169 in 2023.

Germany
The largest economy in Europe has the fourth-highest number of billionaires, with 132 individuals having a collective net worth of $644 billion. 

Russia 
Despite economic sanctions and political challenges, Russia has the fifth-highest number of billionaires at 120. 

Italy
Italy has seen a slight increase in its billionaire count to 73, up from 64, having a total net worth of $302 billion. 

Brazil
The largest country in South America has the seventh-highest number of billionaires. Brazil holds 69 billionaires, with a total net worth of $231 billion. 

Canada
The second-largest country in the world is placed eighth in the billionaire list. Its billionaire population has increased to 67 from 63 last year, with a total net worth of $315 billion.

Hong Kong
The autonomous territory of China, Hong Kong is ninth on the list with 67 billionaires having a collective net worth of $330 billion. 

United Kingdom
The UK takes the tenth spot with 55 billionaires, up from 52 last year, with a total net worth of $225 billion.
