Quick-commerce giant Swiggy recently ventured into the rapid food delivery space by launching Snacc. It’s a new app that offers fresh food delivery within 15 minutes.

The move is expected to heighten the competition in this segment as many players already exist in the market including Blinkit’s Bistro and Zepto Cafe.

Many other small players like Swish and EatSure have also entered the rapid-food delivery segment, offering Indian consumers more options.
Swiggy’s standalone app comes soon after the success of its rapid food delivery service ‘Bolt’ which was introduced in October on the Swiggy app.

Zomato has also launched a similar service with select restaurants delivering food within 15 minutes. The feature is already live in major cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru.
While Swiggy’s Bolt and Zomato’s 15-minute service have a list of restaurants that deliver food rapidly, the standalone apps deliver food from a centralised location.
Ola also offers a 10-minute food delivery service called Ola Dash, which was first launched in Bengaluru and will now be expanded to other major cities.
