Blinkit has launched a new 10-minute ambulance service with the aim of enhancing emergency medical access. Here are key things to know.

The service has been initially launched in some parts of Gurugram. Blinkit is planning to expand it to major cities of India in the next two years.
Under the current launch, five ambulances equipped with Basic Life Support (BLS) systems have been deployed in Gurugram.

These ambulances will have all the essential life-saving equipment including oxygen cylinders, stretchers, monitors, and emergency medicines.

Every ambulance will have a paramedic, an assistant and a trained driver to ensure appropriate care during emergencies.

Users in the serviceable areas can book the ambulance through the Blinkit app, and the cost is expected to be affordable.

While the price structure for the service hasn’t been revealed yet, Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa said that profit is not the goal of this initiative.
