US President Donald Trump imposed sweeping “reciprocal” tariffs on several countries. Reciprocal tariffs are imposed to match what other nations are charging the US.
While the US imposed a baseline 10% tariff on all imports, it charged a higher tariff on countries with which it had a bigger trade deficit.
