 to find out how much you would pay. Transaction charges include statutory and regulatory fees charged by the regulator and the exchanges. Using a sample amount of 50 lakh turnover done on the buy side and 50 lakh turnover done on the sell side for a total of 1 crore turnover, here is what your fees would be like:

  1. STT – Security Transaction Tax
  2. CTT – Commodity Transaction Tax
  3. Stamp Duty is calculated as per Maharashtra Stamp Duty i.e. Rs. 200/- per crore
  4. Transaction charges under BSE are Rs.275/crore for Equity segment and Rs.100/lakh for XC/XD/XT/Z and ZP group.
  5. Brokerage is also charged on expired, exercised, and assigned options contracts.
  6. Service tax of 14%, Swachh Bharat Cess of 0.5% and  Krishi Kalyan Cess of 0.5% are also applicable on actual Brokerage.
