Changing Bank Accounts
Registered bank accounts allow you to transfer money to and from your trading account safely. As a precaution, we only allow money transfers to happen with registered bank accounts so make sure you register any/all of your bank accounts to avoid any delays in processing. One of your bank accounts will be marked as a Primary Bank Account. This will be the account used for withdrawals — as in, you can transfer your money out of Upstox into only one bank account. The other secondary accounts can be used for transferring money into your account.
Adding/removing/changing your bank account involves the follow steps.
- Send us a change of primary bank form. You can get this by going to the forms section on our site, going to Account Modification Forms, and clicking on Change of Primary Bank.
- Send us a cancelled cheque for the new bank account. This cheque must have your full name, IFSC Code and MICR number printed on it. In case the cheque doesn’t have your name on it, you can instead send us your most recent bank account statement with the required details (the cheque must be within the last 3 months).
- Courier the documents to our address:
