A masked Aadhaar is a version of the Aadhaar card where only the last four digits of the Aadhaar number are visible, providing an extra layer of security. Follow these steps to download a masked Aadhaar from the UIDAI website:

Step 1: Visit the UIDAI Website. Go to the official UIDAI website at https://uidai.gov.in.

Step 2: Access the Download Section.

• Click on the “My Aadhaar” section on the homepage.
• Select “Download Aadhaar.”

Step 3: Enter Required Information. On the Aadhaar download page, provide one of the following:

• Your 12-digit Aadhaar number.
• Your 16-digit Virtual ID (VID).
• Your 28-digit Enrollment ID (EID).

Step 4: Select Masked Aadhaar Option.

• Check the box labeled “I want a masked Aadhaar” to download the masked version.

Step 5: Captcha Verification.

• Enter the Captcha code displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Request OTP.

• Click on “Send OTP.”
• An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 7: Enter OTP.

• Input the OTP received on your registered mobile number.

Step 8: Download the Masked Aadhaar.

• Once the OTP is validated, you can download the masked Aadhaar in PDF format.

Step 9: Password-Protected PDF.

• The downloaded PDF will be password-protected.
• Use a password that combines the first four letters of your name in CAPITAL letters followed by your year of birth (YYYY format) to open the file.

Example: If your name is John Doe and your birth year is 1990, the password would be: JOHN1990.
