Historical API shouldn't require an Authentication.
Logically speaking, Historical data isn't related to any particular user, yet it requires an access token. Ideally, it should just be needing an "Owner-Generated-Token" or simply a secret key?
Hey @irathernottell ,
Our current architecture requires access token, we will consider about this in near future and update you accordingly
This is kind of an Immediate Priority issue. If you think about it, I am running a code every day, why I want to be logged in for historical data? It breaks the purpose of sleeping-trader.
I am quite sure you guys are working hard. I hope that priorities will be set as per important bugs and limitations.
@irathernottell access token also checks for subscription once a day so it helps to login at least once a day.
helps to login at least once a day.
I think that I wasn't clear so I will try again.
Let us imagine that I am doing to office everyday and I want opportunistic trading. One way is that, I login and see graph everyday. Other is, I write a script which would analyse and find opportunity everyday. Right now because of this access token overhead, one has to login everyday. This could have been avoided and You don't need a user profile data to fetch the history, How does it matter if it is my token or your's if PNB is trading at 131?
