We are pleased to announce the launch of the Analytics Token — a long-lived, read-only access token designed for developers and analysts who need programmatic access to market data and historical records without going through the standard OAuth authorization flow. This token is ideal for building dashboards and running analytics pipelines without any risk of unintended trading activity.

What Is the Analytics Token?

The Analytics Token is a dedicated credential with the following characteristics:

• 1-year validity — Generated once and valid for an entire year, reducing the overhead of frequent token refresh.
• Read-only access — Strictly scoped to data retrieval; it cannot be used to place, modify, or cancel orders.
• No OAuth flow required — Generated directly from the Upstox Developer Apps page under the Analytics tab.
• One token per account — Only one Analytics Token is active per account at any time; generating a new one revokes the previous one.
